Kathleen Freimond

After moving to Canada in 1995 I used my background in newspapers and my strong written and oral communication skills to build a career in editorial management.
While in a full-time role with a leading western Canadian magazine publisher I managed the editorial department and built relationships with custom publishing clients in addition to overseeing the company’s consumer publications.
I now work from a professional home office managing projects, and writing and generating content for a range of media. Projects I have managed and/or written have been published in The Globe and Mail, the Vancouver Sun, Westcoast Homes & Design magazine and on websites such as Export Development Canada and an international bank.
I have a Master of Business Administration degree from Athabasca University in Alberta and a diploma in the Advanced Principles of Public Relations Practice from the Public Relations Institute of South Africa.
When I’m not at my work desk I enjoy genealogy and exploring the extraordinary lives of my ancestors, and travel.
